Manufacturing companies gathered in Munich
On a sunny February morning, mechanical engineers, laser technology experts, industrial insurers and other members of the manufacturing industry convened for a Round Table event at Microsoft’s German offices in Munich. It was the second industry focused event hosted by proMX and Microsoft.
Microsoft Senior Partner Sales Executive Roberto Osorio and proMX CEO, Peter Linke welcomed attendees on behalf of their respective companies. The latter took the opportunity to express his hopes for the event: „I would like for you to shape this day with us,” he said. Emphasis would be put on dialogue, exchange of ideas, and networking.
Therefore, at the beginning of the day, the hosts wanted to hear from their guests: What do they expet from this day? What do you think of when you hear Dynamics 365? And what does ‚digital transformation‘ mean to you?
Benefits of moving into the cloud
In his keynote address, Stefan Truthän gave insight into his organization’s digital operation. Truthän is CEO of hhpberlin, one of the most successful European fire protection companies. He has long been a champion of continuous digital innovation. „To me, IT is an operating resource, “ he said. Employees must have the best tools available to them in order to perform at their best.
He encouraged the audience to question their organization’s structures and to move into the cloud. As a longtime customer, he showed himself convinced of the products and services of proMX and Microsoft.
What is Dynamics 365?
One of the key figures behind Dynamics 365, Microsoft’s new intelligent business software, Tom Patton, was another notable speaker at the event. He talked about the background and origins of the innovative cloud software solution. He was joined by proMX’s Özgür Arin and Jona Tennison for live demonstrations of two of the seven available apps, Dynamics 365 for Project Service Automation and Dynamics 365 for Field Service.
Joanna Rosner of Interflex Datensysteme GmbH brought some real-life experiences to the table. With the help of proMX, her company is currently implementing Dynamics 365. Interflex is a manufacturer of hard- and software for security solutions and workforce management and one of the early adopters of Dynamics 365.
