Highlights of the proMX Project Operations + AI Summit 2026
In this day and age, where technology evolves faster than ever before, remote work is the norm, and so many business conversations happen online, it’s rather easy to underestimate a face-to-face human connection. Yet the moment you step out and reconnect with experts and peers in person, you’re reminded of the unique magic of it all.
On April 21 and 22 , 2026, the proMX Project Operations + AI Summit returned to Munich for its fourth edition, bringing together Microsoft leaders, Dynamics 365 experts, and customers from around the world to explore how AI, Copilot, and agents are reshaping project delivery. Let’s take a closer look at how it was.
Day 1: Business perspectives on AI in project operations
The first day of the Summit was dedicated to the business impact of Dynamics 365 Project Operations and AI. Microsoft and proMX speakers shared their perspectives on how AI is changing project delivery models and decision-making processes across organizations.

The main sessions focused on some of the hottest topics in the machinery and equipment manufacturing, utilities, and professional services industries:
- The evolving role of AI in project operations
- The transition from experimentation to enterprise ready AI adoption
- Overcoming common project pitfalls with Project Operations & proMX solutions
- Migration from Project Online to modern Dynamics 365 Project Operations
Customer keynotes and panel discussions complemented these sessions by sharing real‑world experiences with AI adoption and organizational change within companies ranging from medium-sized to enterprise.
Day 2: Technology, automation, and hands‑on insights
The second day focused on the technical implementation of AI‑driven project operations. For better understanding, we explored how organizations that operate within different industries can support complex project scenarios both in theory and practice. The experts spoke on extending Dynamics 365 with automation, custom integrations, and AI agents, while live demonstrations provided practical insights into these complex topics, including:
- Intelligent resource staffing
- Automation across the delivery chain
- The use of AI to improve project planning and execution
- Tailored solutions built on Dynamics 365 that apply AI and automation to specific business requirements

By combining technical depth with real use cases, the sessions helped bridge the gap between architecture decisions and operational execution.
Customer perspectives and peer exchange
Customer stories were the central part of the Summit agenda. Organizations from different regions and industries shared how they are modernizing project delivery with Dynamics 365 and AI. These perspectives enabled open exchange among participants, allowing everyone to compare approaches, challenges, and outcomes in a practical context.

Connect meetings and networking
Beyond the sessions, the Summit emphasized direct exchange and collaboration. During Connect Meetings attendees had the opportunity to discuss their individual projects and challenges in one‑to‑one conversations with Microsoft experts, proMX consultants, and other Summit participants.

If there’s a recipe for success, it’s probably this: expertise, experience, good energy, plenty of smiles, and, naturally, delicious cupcakes during the breaks at Microsoft office in Munich. Networking breaks and informal discussions supported further knowledge sharing and helped participants connect strategic topics with implementation considerations.
